Here she is with the new shoes.

18x9 +40 Konig Torch

BFGoodrich g-Force Sportcomp2 255/40-18

Need a little trim or roll in the rear and little pull and maybe some more camber in the front. Very minor rubbing, maybe 1/8" front and rear.

Overall 1.5" wider wheel and tire.....same weight as stock.

hmmm... the meaty tires make 18"s look actually viable on the 5th gens

That's what I was hoping and it does seem to. I was a little afraid the wheels would still look too small, especially being black, but I am very happy with the look. I think the design of the wheel, with the longish, somewhat concave spokes that extend all the way to the lip make the wheel look bigger than it is. Some 18s look small simply because they have a thick lip, shorter spoke and more of a salad plate hub area design.

The overall dimension of the 255/40 is only 2mm bigger than the diameter of the stock 225/45 so the tire really isn't much bigger around. Basically all I did was add width to fill out the overhang of the fenders left by the sunken in stock wheels.

Congrats GTEASER, your car look great on new shoes. I also prefer lip-less.

I agree that these are stunning and well worth the cost that he is asking. Now if I still had my VW's then this would be purchased already lol. But sadly I do not feel that way about my Subaru. It's a great car, but it's not a car that I am in love with.

My enkeis are just a shade lighter.

Those do look good in that color.

Dang am I the only one who's wheels are on permanent backorder lol ? Naw I am happy for those who have theirs by now and if I really needed wheels that badly I would just pop over to the dealership.
