firehawk618
I posted some of this when I first got my car but sat down and played with it a bunch today. With the right scantool you can make a bunch of adjustments and thought I'd share the most relevant ones. What made my play with it today was that I had noticed my alarm didn't work. I'd arm the car, wait a few mins, reach in and open the door and nothing happened. After booting up the tool and selecting the right car here's the first screen I am greeted with. This is after it "auto scans" the car for various modules. It only lists modules that respond to the meter's *ping* via the obdii port. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/firehawk618/Cars/2006%20Legacy%20GT%20Wagon/IMG_20140606_154113_zps0lz3oxs5.jpg After selecting "integ unit mode" which is the BCM this is what I get: http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/firehawk618/Cars/2006%20Legacy%20GT%20Wagon/IMG_20140606_154130_zpskfnxxnng.jpg Next I select "ECU Customizing" as this is where you can change variables: http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/firehawk618/Cars/2006%20Legacy%20GT%20Wagon/IMG_20140606_154139_zpsmapqz81z.jpg Now I have 3 pages of things that can be changed. As you can see damned near every feature can be turned on, off or adjusted. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/firehawk618/Cars/2006%20Legacy%20GT%20Wagon/IMG_20140606_154139_zpsmapqz81z.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/firehawk618/Cars/2006%20Legacy%20GT%20Wagon/IMG_20140606_154143_zpsob4nmoqy.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/firehawk618/Cars/2006%20Legacy%20GT%20Wagon/IMG_20140606_154148_zps65b8cdoy.jpg I discovered on the last page when I selected "security setup" mine was disabled for some reason. I enabled it then tested and now my security system alarms when the door is opened and stuff like that. Though I'd share. 10' CTS-V, A6, Airraid, 2.4 upper, ID850's, self tuned. SOLD:06' LGT Wagon. theflystyle
I remember having to go to the dealer to use the Subaru Select Monitor for the alarm shock sensor I installed. It seems like it would have some potential but that thing is like $800+

ssbtech
All the things Subaru should have made available on the NAV screen. I'm surprised we don't have some open source Windows software we can use. God knows there's enough ECU tuning applications available.
firehawk618
Nice but can it fix the stupid seat belt chime ? That's all that really matters...LOL LOL now that I did not see in there. I was able to turn off the auto lock, change my front/rear defrost to always one vs timed, program a spare fob *EASILY vs the morse code* and a few other annoying things though. 10' CTS-V, A6, Airraid, 2.4 upper, ID850's, self tuned. What about turning off the tpms ? The other thing some of us would like to turn off. I will confuess, the Spec B's tpms did let me know I hada issue, I have a slow leak it one tire, I just had to find which one it was. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. theflystyle
^ I think I read that is a different computer all together and may not be able to be modified through the OBDII ??

I will confuess, the Spec B's tmps did let me know I hada issue, I have a slow leak it one tire, I just had to find which one it was. It does list TPMS in the list of modules BUT my car doesn't have it so I cannot say what you can or can't do. I have a feeling that if the dealer can disable it via scantool then this can also. 10' CTS-V, A6, Airraid, 2.4 upper, ID850's, self tuned. SOLD:06' LGT Wagon.
