brokentv
One of the few disappointments I have had with my legacy is that the headlights seem to be pretty week,it's at the point where it seems a little dangerous sometimes. Does anyone know of some good headlight bulbs to get for these cars?
Zues Marine
buy some jdm headlights from ebay.. they are projector lenses and will require a plug and play harness adapter made by caromcamera and 4zero1motorsports... the LHD projector cut off will need to be modified to accommodate the LHD beam pattern, alternatively you can aim them down a bit on that side as to not blind oncoming drivers.. elislider
I was really happy with the 2nd gen JDM headlights. they look great, function great, and aren't terribly expensive.
Scruffy
Jdm Head lights all the way, also, try cleaning the lenses of your USDMs, and make sure they aren't aimed at the ground. If you're looking to spend some serious money, there's a set of Morettes on ebay right now for about 450. http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-SUBARU-LEGACY-AFTER-MARKET-HID-PROJECTOR-HEADLIGHTS-BD-BG-MADE-IN-GERMANY-/271431221351?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f328fc067&vxp=mtr Watch the for sale in the forums, you may find something. stevenva
The factory Legacy reflectors have lousy optics. I've tried many bulbs. Narva Rangepower+50=(6 months), Osram Nightbreakers=(6 months), Osram Rallye=(3 months), even re-wired them with heavy gauge wiring using relays to feed 100/55 watt Narva motorcycle bulbs=(2 months). They are all an improvement. But... They don't last. That's 8 bulbs at an average of $20+ each. If I count the relays and ceramic sockets, that easily comes to $200 pissed away. That happens to be how much I spent for JDM projector housings. Just get some JDM projector housings and be done with it! I cant say how good they really are because I swapped out the "low beam only" projectors in them for Bi-Xenon TRS projectors. That gives me low beams as good as any new hid equipped car, and quad high beams that are unmatched. Here is a source for high power bulbs. http://store.candlepower.com/h4hb29003bulbs.html Talk to Kenny Franklin for questions. Stang70Fastback
Nevermind. I'm an idiot. The Narva bulbs don't come in a 9007 style. I use those in my PIAA lights. The bulbs I used for my headlights were these, and they definitely help: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Philips-9007-X-treme-Power-Headlight/dp/B00480N16S/?tag=viglink20901-20]Amazon.com: Philips 9007 X-treme Power Headlight Bulb, Pack of 2: Automotive[/ame]
