Hey guys. I've been a member on here for a bit lurking, figured I should start a build thread!

Anyways, I picked up this beauty just before winter for a good price.

05 Outback XT - 5spd, no compression in cylinder 4, and a spun rod. The body and interior was in great shape, no dents, very few scratches and chips, no rust! Mods that came on the car included a Invidia Downpipe, Up-pipe, Exedy stage 1 clutch and an Exedy lightweight flywheel. I sourced a new motor right away, and started wrenching.

Spent the next weekend got it up and running. Did a few unplanned upgrades as well..

-Swapped in a motor that has 60K, overhauled...all gaskets and seals changed

-Odyssey AGM battery

-Killer B oil pickup

-Killer B windage tray

-Upgraded dual roller timing belt idlers, timing belt service

-Tomei belt guide

-Denso plugs

-Grimmspeed up-pipe

-Invidia Q300 catback for Legacy, modified to fit Outback

-New KYB Legacy shocks F+R

-Tein S.Tech springs

-Cobb Accessport V3

Ran great! Engine pulled smooth and strong, car sounded really rowdy.

Really enjoyed the car, but had a couple of complaints. After longer drives my back started to hurt, the factory seats have really poor support. I had a recaro bucket kicking around, so I installed it. I have to say it makes driving the car very enjoyable. I don't slide around while cornering now either.

Another big complaint was the brakes. Very mushy pedal, even after bleeding and flushing them. Decided to throw on some better brakes. I sourced some calipers from a 2012 STi and grabbed some DBA 5000 series slotted fronts, and 4000 series slotted rears, with Endless pads and Endless RF650 fluid. Also picked up a Grimmspeed MCB.

.........And then the snow hits. I had mounted some new WS70 on GR BBS STi wheels, and sourced some 5x100-->5x114 spacers. Did an alignment before the snow hit as well, traction was awesome!

Here is how she sits on the winter setup

Drove it like that for a long time, until last week when I got a really good deal on a Blouch 380xt turbo.

Installed a Crawford AOS, Perrin inlet, 380xt, DW740cc injectors.

Currently sits like this:

I was thinking about doing the 6spd swap next, but I think better suspension is higher on the priority list.

I have a few "summer cars"

This is my 2JZ-GTE VVTi swapped Lexus GS300, it's pretty built.

I'm even more impressed with the OBXT considering your other vehicles are in a completely different category of customization. You've seriously got an eye for style man. Are you professionally involved with cars? Or just an enthusiast?

Why would you put all the money into your lexus then slam and add all that camber with stretched tires?

It's like marrying a super model and making her get a breat reduction and gain 50lbs. It's just.... Wrong

Well on the rear of my GS300 I have 325 tires and 0 camber. So it hooks up pretty good. These are also my "show" wheels fyi.

And the suspension is actually optimized. I have custom one off Zeal Function PF coilovers (the only set like it in the world). It's a short stroke shock for proper handling at that ride height.

Then may I ad that you are doing well by yourself and your wife. I like that you've added what you enjoy to your vehicles. I personally would be greatful for any and all photos that you are willing to share. If you do not want to clutter your post, you could always email them to me. :)

Took my Datsun 240Z out to Datsun Matsuri / Knox Hill Climp in Kelowna, BC a few months ago, the wagon was driven out there by my friend as a support vehicle. Here are some pics:

What a looker! So you're running wheel adapters to get the wheels on there? How much do those space the wheels out? Also, what size tire and how do the swifts ride? Great stance, I may have to copy you mwahaha
