They made an outback in 95?

On the title it's called a legacy L but it's really an outback. I think it's a screw up when it was released. It even has the original legacy ride height and not the tall height. Also the hump on the roof isn't there. And the bumpers were totally different. Here's a before and today pic

I have a 95L as well, same red as yours but not two toned. They say in 95 the L was the outback, but at regular ride height.

Good to know. I know in 96 or 97 is was a legit outback that every ones sees. So pretty much the suspension, tires bumpers, and roof is what makes a legacy and an outback. Crazy smh

96 was the first year of the outback. It had the suspension lift and all. I don't think it had a hood scoop yet in 96. The 5mt all has 2.2, and the autos were all 2.5, but a bastard year for the 2.5.

In 97 it became the full outback with 2.5 in all the cars and hood scoops.

Well... wait. That post was from about 3 or so minutes after I woke up.

A clearer thinking self has realized that I forgot a few obvious things....

It has the projector beam fog lights that the 96 GT came with, outback 15" wheels, mud flaps, and I think the interior might have been a different type of weave.

As of yesterday

Wait... Is that a 95?

They didn't have that gauge cluster until 98. 96 was the last year of white needles and 140mph speed, 97 went to red needles with the 120mph speed. But ti didn't have all the ticks between the numbers.

Then in 98 it looked like that.

97 gauge http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z314/987687/98%20Legacy%20GT/IMG_4408.jpg

(fwd light is because 250k graced me with a sidewall blowout)

Hmm, now that you mention it, yea. If you do a manual swap you have to keep the tcu around or ABS stops working. I'm not really sure why... Instead of doing a manual swap, I'm selling it and buying one that comes with a manual. heh

It's a 98 GT.

The ABS light is on because the passenger side front ABS sensor is not plugged in. I replace the hub with one from my 98 OB. I had issues with the bolt and trying to the the wiring to swap over. The plug ends are different for some stupid reason. I'm going to make an adapter to just plug in between the ends.
