hellajdmyo Posted May 9, 2010 Share Posted May 9, 2010 Hey guys im still pretty new to the site and i have been searching for my answer but have found an answer. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 09 LGT 5eat but my question is when im in manual mode and im in 1st gear if i don't shift early enough will the transmission shift to second automatically? I ask because i shifted a little to late and it went from 1st to 3rd. Did i shift twice by mistake? It just happen so fast that i was kind of confused:confused:. rymac320 Posted May 9, 2010 Share Posted May 9, 2010 it will shift on its own if youve got it on the floor. i know that if youre driving 'normally' in manual mode it wont shift up. however it may once it gets up near the redline - but ive never tried that other than being on the floor. HPH they changed the TCU in 07/08 (dont remember) I know for sure 08+ will only upshift at redline in manual mode my 08 will downshift only when your speed is too low for the current gear, my will downshift to 1st gear in manual mode (imo 3rd->2nd 13mph) (are you talking about your specB not downshifting ) and the 05/06 guys dont have downshift rev match 5eat downshift rev match:) Powder coated wheels: completed:) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
