LegacyDan
I currently have a fairly custom turbo back system. With a Milltek catless shorty DP and sports cat lower section followed by a Fujitsubo CBE. if i was to switch back to standard center y section and two standard/after market mufflers what affect would this have on power levels? Im thinking of putting on a less in your face set of mufflers and cant do that without butchering up CBE which i dont want to do or else switch back to stock setup. Answers on a postcard! They kind of attract a bit of un-wanted attention http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3/desperatedano/IMG_20120909_191256.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3/desperatedano/IMG_20120909_191304.jpg Whats the aftermarket muffler of choice these days? iNVAR
Wish I had a rear wiper. Anything behind where your 2nd (rearmost) cat used to be shouldn't impact performance much, if at all.
I Donated thefultonhow Posted December 12, 2012 I Donated Share Posted December 12, 2012 From what I understand, the mid/Y is restrictive; the cans are not.

Anything behind where your 2nd (rearmost) cat used to be shouldn't impact performance much, if at all. I might take it off actually, its kind of in the way of your rear view and ruins the lines of the car I think. So how much restriction are we talking about switching back to stock CBE? LegacyDan
so im thinking of two options now. 1. modify the current Fujitsubo LEGALIS-R to pull the tips in more so they dont stick out as far, hopefully this will look less in your face compared to how they are now, im thinking this CBE maybe wagon fitment hence why it sticks our past the bumper so much. Will pulling it in closer to the bumper cause any heat damage? http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3/desperatedano/IMG_20120909_191247.jpg 2. Change to a Invidia Q300 quad tip CBE, its looks a lot more subtle i think. Does anyone know how loud this is and what the quality of the latest v3 is like? My Fujitsubo one is 8 years old and not a sign of rust or any scratches on it so im looking for something that is good quality and not going to rust up after 1 or two years
fahr_side
From what I understand, the mid/Y is restrictive; the cans are not. OP has 2.0 liters displacement than you guys... Quite a bit less exhaust volume to deal with. Obligatory 'build thread' Increased capacity to 2.7 liters, still turbo, but no longer need spark plugs. Drift Motion
why not some quad tip mufflers? Usually oval cans attracts a lot less attention than canons, plus it clears curbs a lot easier too! And the tinted tails doesn't help...
LegacyDan
Only quad tip mufflers I have came across are the invidia ones but as far as I know there are only sold as a part of a full CBE.
Drift Motion
you can just get two dual tip mufflers and have them welded in locally I have the invidia q300, it's awesome, and quiet

I haven't seen any dual tip mufflers only. Selection locally is pretty shit. Considering most of my cat parts come from either US or japan says a lot for the local stuff!
