They give the Blizzak LM25 an overall score of 3 stars, the Dunlop M3 gets 2 stars, and the Nokian WR gets only 1 star. The other 3 star tires are the Pirelli 210, Pilot Alpin PA2, Continental TS810, and Uniroyal MS55. Wet performance counts the most in the final rankings (must rain a lot during German winters?), followed in order by snow performance, dry performance, then ice performance. chucktoo Posted October 11, 2004 Share Posted October 11, 2004 I bought the M-3s since there is no LM-25 in 225/55/17 for the Outback a 225/45/17 is the closest LM-25 the Revs/Mile 833 vs 775 for RE-92As and fits on the stock rims. As I understood it a month ago, when the first threads about that test came out, German winters are rainy, so a tire that would do well in the snow, such as the WR, would definitely lose out to a more performance-oriented tire, such as the LM Blizzak. According to the German ADAC tests, the WRs performance scores in the snow test and ice test were inferior to those of the LM25.
