I have some new brakes... can you see them peeking out from behind the wheels? :)

If you want it to be functional, I suggest a lift.

I don't want to super lift her up like for example, Monster truck and a snorkel kit. But I was thinking more along the lines of a rally build on it. I know rally set ups are lifted quite a little more high. But I just have not seen to many Legacy wagons that are rally builds. Ill take any ideas or advice.

Well, you can use any 02/03 wrx suspension in it. It's a direct bolt on. So pretty much anything where you see a wrx getting suspension, wheels, and brakes upgrade, the same applies to your legacy.

Or if you want you could just get outback struts/springs, that'll give you an inch or so of lift, then you can run bigger tires, etc.

Honestly, rally cars aren't lifted as much as you think, if at all. Lifting too much causes shitty handling so they'll run a whole bunch of underbody protection to keep from ruining the car driving over rocks

Do you they sell underbody protection for the wagons or do I have to get it custom made so they it can fit my wagon?

For the a rally car I help work on (hi dan) we bought 4x8 sheets of HDPE. It's a hard plastic stuff that's pretty resistant to rocks and rally debris flying around. Covered everything is the rear end to protect gas tank, axle boots and whatnot from rock spray. On the front there's an aluminum skid plate, you can buy them online. Same thing for the legacy sedan and wagon. I see a lot of cars putting HDPE under the entire car to protect the underbody so the metal doesn't get dinged and scratched up, it's a lot easier to replace a bit of plastic than the floor.

The stock fender liners suck, they're thin plastic that loves to get ripped out, so we replaced those with HDPE as well.

Some good pictures to look at here of what one guy did http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?p=348561&sid=6f336994d9c7acebeb9f959aff98f372#p348561

When it comes right down to it, every rally car is different. The best way to find out what works for you is talk to some people, go play around, see what you break, prevent it from breaking again...

Hey, not trying to advertise or anything but I downloaded a really rad app yesterday and it s called 3d Tuning! Has no wagons other than the 2013 Outback and Forester but its really cool cause you can lower cars or raise them and just do some pretty mad things to them. Just wanted to let you guys know! Plus I wrote a review on the app store that they should put every generation of wagons on there. So hopefully in the mean time they do! But anyways if you guys and gals want to check it out, the app is called

"3D Tuning" .
