spad
hi all, hooray! finally finished changing stock radio in my baby (attached are couple of photos before/after) as i was installing wires for my subwoofer i noticed couple of wires behind the cover near the driver'sfoot. does anyone have any idea what these are? i understand its a long shot... i did not try to connect them, nor did i spend much time finding out where they go. but maybe its something factory-preinstalled? any ideas what could it be? thanks in advance! Nolmers06LGT
The 05's have an onboard code reader. If you get a CEL, connect the white plugs, turn the key to on without starting the car, and press the trip button. There's a thread on here about it- do a search. The green connectors on the passenger side are the ones for test/ecu flash.
Nolmers06LGT
PS... Is there really such thing as a 3.0R 05 SpecB? I'm pretty sure the OP has a 2.5 block like the rest of the 4th gens..

European market has one. And since the first picture shows temperature in C, I suspect that's the case.

That makes sense- I looked it up after posting. I like the idea of the flat 6 in the 4th gen legacy.. I'm just kinda surprised by the low torque output. Right now if I want any kind of proper response I have to keep revs over 5000. this is not a problem but mpg suffers tremendously in this case good thing is that gear ratios are quite close to each other.
