Interesting feature of Gauge Cluster...

Before I start, I did read the manual, and I don't remember this as a feature.

 

If the car is off and the keys are not in it and you hit the Trip button, the Fuel gauge and Odometer will turn on and show you the miles and fuel in the tank. It stays on for about 30 seconds.

 

I though this was kinda a cool idea.

If you open the driver's door, the ignition ring lights up, but not if you open the other doors. If you lock the window buttons, only the driver's one lights up.

ha! handy if you plan on stealing one

Now if my car marks the upscaling of Subaru then how come I dont have an illuminated ignition ring?

Hence the heated windshield wipers. Oooo la la.

 

And that is a cool feature about the lights turning off. Not something that you would ever think of, but it is neat.

Doesnt the red ring around the fuel gauge blink when you get the low gas light? I think I remember noticing this.

If you stick the key in the ignition and don't hold down the clutch pedal the car won't start...

you can get home by closing your eyes clicking your heels three times and .... eh you know the rest

I heart heated wipers. I didn't even realize I had them when I bought the car. Then I noticed the button, didn't know what it was, and then I noticed the coils under the wipers and said WHOA AWESOME. now if i just had a heated steering wheel ..

if you pull E-brake up, the DRL will turn off.

if you mash the gas pedal, the car will go fast

if you mash the break, the car will stop.... eventually

if you get soap water on intercooler, it damages your TopMountInterCooler and not coverd by subaru warrenty, i heard this from another thered and alot people has conformed that, it sounded serious.

If you open the hood before closing the doors and locking the car, shutting the hood will set off the alarm.

Then there's those parking lights that don't turn off.

The severity of the Ill error depends, Ill.6 is most common and your car will blow up in 6 miles. Ill.1 is really bad.

COOL, i might have to run my tank lower than usually just to see this haha. (i usually fill up at a half a tank).

This isn't in the Subie manual...

Towards the back of the manual it states that farting with no ventilation may void your warranty.
