resipsa99
When I started my 2005 LGT for my drive home today, my radio and climate control were dead. Everything else on the car, including all of the other electronics worked fine, but the neither the radio nor the climate control would turn on (blank screens on both). When I got home, I shut the car off. When I re-started it about 10 minutes later, the problem had cured itself. I called the dealer to discuss the problem. First he thought it might be a fuse issue. However, after reviewing the manual, the dealer told me that the clock and radio are on one fuse and the climate control is on another fuse. Since the clock was working fine, it must not have been a fuse problem. Any ideas?
KTM 525
This is an old post I see but I just had my LGT do this same thing to me after the third day of ownership. Difference was I shut the car off right then and there and restarted it and as above everything was good to go. Has not done it again.
Decay
it has happened to me once in the first few months of ownership, but has not happened again but my player skips sometimes.. could have something to do with the cd-rws i'm using though, testing that out right now with store bought cds
sduford
Does that actually improve the ACC's ability to keep you comfortable? :D:D Sylvain www.digitalfotographer.com - Audi Q5 Club - MB-GLK Club
dustinw
Does that actually improve the ACC's ability to keep you comfortable? :D:D At a minimum it would certainly act in a predictable manner when it's shutdown .
D-2.5-GT
same with me....did it once, shut it right down and re-started. Nothing since.

sduford
Wow, that's quite a few now reporting this problem. Thankfully, it hasn't happened to me yet. At least I''ll know what to do if it ever does! I'd be curious to see Subaru's explanation. 2Simpletons
It also happened to me one time at about the 2 month mark...has never done it since-we've got 12,000 miles on the car. Very wierd. And why only one time for most of us?
skibud2
Also happened to me about about 4 months ago. It has not happened since.
msb175
odd...that actually happened to my WRX when I had it. Happened once after about a half year of ownership. Hopefully it doesn't happen to the LGT. *knock on wood*
vern
I read this thread for the 1st time a couple days ago...the very next day my car did it to me!!!!How's that for a coincidence??? I had the defroster on when I shut her off to get gas. Got back in and started it, the defroster was still blowing but the display was blank and the buttons wouldn't do anything. Since I had read this already I just turned the car off and back on and it was normal. It hasn't done it since. Odd.....
Limeydriver
Mine just did the same this morning. Turned the car off and back on and everything fired up fine. The climate control was still pumping out warm air and the fan was still running - go figure
MaStaMooN
This happened to me last night also. Not seeing this post pop up all the time makes me believe its a once in a while type thing. Ill mention it to my dealership when I go in for my first oil change, but I dont think they'll do anything since it "wont be reproducable". Ah well. pacbreak gt
I have it happen to me. Other member have posted that this is a one time deal, but canis has had it happen 4(?) times. I mentioned this to my dealer and they say that they have not heard of this happening before.
racerdave
Happened to me once on the day after I got the car. I stalled it, refired (never turning off the ignition all the way) and then noticed radio was not playing. Cycled the ignition and never have seen it happen again since. S4
Happened to me once, I turned the car off and restarted, and everything was fine (I was in a drive through, so I could easily do that right when it died). I've had the Radio/Climate control replaced since then because of jammed discs, and nothing on the new one. It was strange when it happened. Since I wasn't listening to the radio at the time, it took me a second to figure out what changed. I just knew something had quit, but didn't know what.... racerdave
(I was in a drive through, so I could easily do that right when it died). That's it!! Me too... Everyone, quick, don't take the LGT through a drive through!
omarco
Had it once after six months owning the car. Restart the car fixed it. I guess Microsoft has something to do with the system.
Whitestar Pilot
Count me in on this. A one time deal, it happened at around the 1500 mile mark. I drove home thinking that a fuse had blown, but when I turned the ignition key back on, everything was fine.
Guest *Jedimaster*
+1 Mine did it the other day too- problem disappeared on restart. Perhaps Microsoft developed the software for this part of the car.
