RobY
I saw a device sold in sears called a vaccum brake bleeder tool I was just wondering if anybody has used one of these to bleed brake lines before. It seems like a really good way to avoid some of the fuss involved in doing a good brake bleed. How does it work in comparison to the "have your friend push the pedal while you turn the screw" method.
rao
Is it the same thing as a Mity-vac? If it is tthey are decent and not too expensive. Reverse bleeders work pretty well also http://www.phxsyss.com/index.htm I've used both and I still prefer the 2 person free method. Trent Bates
Any opinions on these?
I've got these in my GTP. They work fine. I was having trouble getting the system bled because I was trying to get amateurs to help. These solved that problem!
rao
I think Mity-Vac makes various models from junk to very high quality. I bet they make the Craftsman one. I have never used speed bleeders, but you can buy them almost anywhere so people seem to like them. They seem like a good idea. Tide
I have a mity vac and have used it to do the brakes on my motorcycle, works pretty well. Basically you'll still need a friend to charge the line, then the vac sucks down the bubbles. If you're only doing it once, skip the vac. If you will do it more often, get the vac.
