Craftsman Vaccum Bleeder Tool?

RobY

Recommended Posts

I saw a device sold in sears called a vaccum brake bleeder tool I was just wondering if anybody has used one of these to bleed brake lines before. It seems like a really good way to avoid some of the fuss involved in doing a good brake bleed. How does it work in comparison to the "have your friend push the pedal while you turn the screw" method.
Is it the same thing as a Mity-vac? If it is tthey are decent and not too expensive. Reverse bleeders work pretty well also http://www.phxsyss.com/index.htm I've used both and I still prefer the 2 person free method.
yeah its the same as the mity vac but the craftsman model seems to look a bit better with brass instead of plastic cylinders

I have a mity vac and have used it to do the brakes on my motorcycle, works pretty well. Basically you'll still need a friend to charge the line, then the vac sucks down the bubbles. If you're only doing it once, skip the vac. If you will do it more often, get the vac.
