I would also call it the steering rack boot, but that's what all the parts houses call it. Cheapest is $20 from AZ per side! That's the same price I paid for the ones on my wife's '01 Audi A8L. And 10 times more than I paid for the car. Any other alternate solutions? I'm thinking 2-3 inch rubber inter-tubes clamped on. Any BTDTs? I just put on new brakes and rotors, a battery, doing the bearing this weekend and the PS pump is leaking too. I've had a few wheel bearing go out on my '95, ha ha. As far as replacing your wheel bearing are you going to take it to a shop and have them press in a new one or just get a whole assembly? Had to rent a Posi Lock puller to get the outer bearing off after pressing it out of the knuckle. We will see how close I can get to the 4.5 hour shop time.
