loups
Hi everyone! I'm a new member, and happy to be part of the forum. I just found this burnt wire at the back of my engine, not sure if its an oxygen sensor wire, horn, etc? its a single wire with a green stripe? Help please
Max Capacity
Any wire that long may be from something aftermarket. Can you pull the engine cover and see where the wire goes/comes from ? 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here
loups
I'l check that out, I'm pretty sure it is contained in the stock wire sleeves that circle the engine. I think it's the EGT sensor wire... any comments? Thanks for the response tho! We are getting closer....
slowGT
No check engine lights? Or any other warning lights?
Max Capacity
Not EGT wire. That is a gray connector under the big main connector above the turbo. I think you can see the big connector in the picture. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. bdub
Exact same wire sheared off on my car. Used it as an excuse to do the grounding mod lol.
