Help with troubleshooting a noise

I have this noise coming from underneath the engine. It only occurs when the engine is cold and idling as well as when the engine is cold and when I start to accelerate in first. After it shifts to second, its gone. Now in the mornings, I would take it out of park and throw it in neutral for a hot second and back in park and the noise would be quieter. I don't have any performance issues or engine codes so I'm not leaning towards anything mechanical, but I'm not also a certified mechanic either. I just changed the differential fluid and Tranny fluid and all the levels are fine.

 

I got underneath the car today and started it. The noise is coming from the right of the front differential. I took a hammer and knocked the catalytic converter shield a little bit but it didn't do anything. I honestly don't know what could be causing it. Maybe I'll upload a video later tonight when its cold again so the noise will occur but does anyone have any suggestions?

probably the heat sheild. i had a noise that sounded the same, then i cut off all the heat sheild and its gone.

but hey, if its in the trans then dont fix it if it aint broke.

I'm pretty hesitant to cut it all off... all the shields are snug and id hate to cut off them and it doesn't fix the problem.
