doccrowley
looking for some experienced help with the clunk in my front end. Had my mechaninc replace my Lower Control Arm bushings with the Whiteline LCA kit. Car, (especially cold mornings after sitting overnight) has a subtle clunk in the front end, L>R, only noticeable at very low speeds. Happens most commonly upon up/down suspension motion rather than off-camber or corners. Anybody ever notice any "break-in" of the whiteline kit and needed to adjust it after installation? Appreciate the input.
sheppo9
Did you check to see if the bolts/nuts are done up tight? Check the front strut top nut too - the one that actually holds the strut (17mm I think).
doccrowley
Ooo, good idea on the top strut nut. I checked the 3 strut mount nuts and the strut tower bar was a bit loose. No impact on quieting down the clunk though. I'll check the top center strut nut. Thanks for the suggestions. Let's keep em coming!
naimouasta
maybe he fudged your ball joints. i know my ball joints are bad and they clunk. check by jacking up the wheel then just grab the wheel and shake it. if theres any clunking check for the source of the clunk.
