sw99 Posted March 1, 2010 Share Posted March 1, 2010 Stock tire size is a 185/70/14. I recently put on some 195/60/15's and the mileage has dropped a fair amount. As far as I can tell these two tire sizes are within 2/10's on an inch in overall diameter. Having that in mind, why would my mileage be affected? Maybe the 14's are alloy and the 15's are steel? The 15's must be a good deal heavier to cause that big of a drop in MPG. Friends don't let friends drink cheap beer.
