beatadrum
Hey I saw this awhile back, but never thought of asking here if anyone knows, ya'll will know though. It looks very similar to the new Mercedes Black Birds-eye Maple wood trim, and I love that trim....also does anyone know where I can get this to replace my 07 wood trim?? Thanks. Gire
The black box is a JDM bukkake-defense option, made by Prova. It's popular in Germany too.

Gire
It's true. It's noted on the Prova website. But you have to speak Japanese in order to get to the hidden sub-manu.
snoman
Unfortunately that trim won't fit in our cars... the steering wheel is on the wrong side. It does look infinitely better than the current wood trim though.
ZinFreak
That would actually look good with the black interior... I just never cared for the fake wood in the taupe interiors. That's what steered me towards the black, plus I'd hate trying to keep a taupe interior clean. -Zin 06 LGT LTD GRP 5MT 07 FXT LTD OBP 4EAT
Gire
In all seriousness, there is a member here who painted his silver trim bits black and it looked great against his black interior. He left the center radio column silver however. It looked more "BMW"... I'll try to find the link. Edit- found it. Ignore the red trim photoshops at the beginning. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56261&highlight=red+trim That black Bird's Eye does look good though... beatadrum
ehh I dont like the trim in that link, nothing compared to this trim
Gire
Agreed. That trim was all DIY. The black strips in the link were OK, but the pic in the first post is really nice. I'd add it to my black interior if I could.
rvlmtfnk
it is nice. does anyone know how much it costs to get replacement trims in the US? and if it is hard to do? i might want to switch from wood to metal..

BigT
I wouldn't get center parts from Japan. Their cars are different because of the whole LHD vs RHD issue. The angles are different and won't fit. Sorry to burst your bubble. It is possible that they will fit, but they probably won't.
cschneider
You can have whatever kind of trim you want through a process called hydrographics. All you do is send in your trim and pick what pattern and color you want and they coat the piece. I had it done before and the quality is excellent. This is how it is done OEM and it is priced accordingly. http://www.daltekinc.com/
rkl303
Looks good for the taupe interior...but the issue is I hate the silver and if I did that I'd want to get rid of the instrument panels colors as well.
