If your not looking for the max HP IMO yea its fine. There may be more info on them in the power train forum.

 

I have a IPR.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

It depends on your car. Mine (IPR) works well 99% of the time. Typical issues are: clutch master cylinder interference (shimming the bracket fixes this), TB hose seal issues (angle is just a little off and causes a leak over time or right away), can be a bear to install, among other things.

Don't forget that cheap cores do not cool well. Intercooler. Think about it.
