Where does AC takes air for Inner cycle mode?

Of all the things to ask about, that's the last question I'd expect.

I'm sure its in the service manual some where.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

If you look at the space between the steering wheel and radio you will see two little slits. That is the cabin air intake.

 

That's one of the intakes for the interior temperature sensor, but it's not the only one.

 

The intake door actuator is attached to the blower unit, so I suspect the primary air intake for recirc mode is above the passenger footwell.
