king_j
when i had the tires installed and balanced, they put the wheel on wrong and caused this damage. the cracks do not go to the hub/lug nut area. can i safely use this wheel for DD? these are superleggera 18x8 with a 48 offset. king_j
they tried to fix the cracks using a epoxy from inside. this literally cracked when i tried installing the wheel.
jton
i wouldnt wanna drive on that thing. crack will only get bigger as it stresses and then u have to think about when winter comes and ice freezes in there....
king_j
how much stress is really on the cracked part? and these are/would be summer wheels only.

CTSubiefan
shouldn't the shop have insurance for that type of damage? I'd be pushing real hard for reimbursement. I just hope it isn't a discontinued wheel where you'd have to buy 4 and not just 1.
mustangendsley
No way in hell would i use that.

WReX24
I wouldn't use that, and I would make sure they paid for the damage as well.
dr. pepper
There is absolutely no chance I would drive any further than backing out of the garage to get that wheel off the car if my wheel had a crack like that.
GTLEGACY007
I like how they attempted to "fix" the wheel by applying an epoxy which didn't hold long enough for you to tighten the wheel on. I'd get them to buy you a new wheel asap.
king_j
the superleggeras are a discontinued wheel. it will be hard to have them pay for a new set of something else.
BrooklynBoy
I wouldn't have left their facility with that wheel. I would have had them put my donut spare on the car and told them to call me when they procured a replacement wheel. Do it right the first time.........or don't bother doing it at all.
