Bad Knock Sensor

Check engine code came up as bad knock sensor. I want to check the wiring and such, but where the heck is it located at???

It it is scrwed into the engine blocknear the center, by the clutch slave cylinder. It is fairly large iin diamater and has 1 wire.

rao is correct. they aer know to go bad on subarus and farl easy to replace. Its most likely the sensor that went bad, not the wiring.

I replace knock sensors all the time its a very common problem with our subies.

I work at a honda dealership and got an aftermarket (same brand as stock) for $80 my cost. Threw it in, in 5 min, and no more code. I think we get our aftermarket parts from autozone, but as I said, it was shaped slightly different, but had all the same info & names on the outside of the sensor.
