whitetiger
rao is correct. they aer know to go bad on subarus and farl easy to replace. Its most likely the sensor that went bad, not the wiring.

heavymetal200x
So whats the lowest price I can get a knock sensor for. I found one on http://www.allsubparts.com http://www.allsubparts.com/SU_Knock~Sensor_list.html 60.93 with free shipping, seems everywhere else is about 86 bucks. Sound like a good deal???? Anyone else used allsubparts? Lemme know.

zadok
I work at a honda dealership and got an aftermarket (same brand as stock) for $80 my cost. Threw it in, in 5 min, and no more code. I think we get our aftermarket parts from autozone, but as I said, it was shaped slightly different, but had all the same info & names on the outside of the sensor. '99 Legacy 2.2L 30th.
