nice LIP, ;)

haha thanks. Got tired of the D2/VK BS and went ahead and bought the lip that I should've just gotten in the first place. Hopefully we'll get ours from VK sometime :spin:

Looks good! :)

Thanks!

Next round of mods will be a FMIC and possibly some new headlights.. stay tuned

A while back I had an idea for Jason @ R-Rev Sports to make a CF shifter surround for us 5EATers. If you can't tell by my exterior mods, I'm not really a fan of chrome. The stock shifter surround is the only bit of chrome in the interior and looked out of place to me. I mailed off my shifter surround for Jason to make the mold, but unfortunately there was not enough interest on here for him to produce them. Recently received my stock surround back along with the test piece in FRP that Jason's fabricator made. Painted and put the test piece in today.

Stock surround and the FRP test piece how I got it:

Few hours after painting:

And in the car:

Thanks for the compliments!

To remove my stock shifter surround, I simply just pulled up on it.. If that doesn't work, it may take a bit of persuasion with a flat head screwdriver ;)

I painted it with Krylon Satin Black, same stuff I did the grill with.

  • 2 weeks later...

Spent this weekend installing an itsme RacerX FMIC and some new to me headlights. They are cleared 05's with ABP eyelids (HKC-Speed I believe?) and a Halo kit in them. After finishing the FMIC install, tried to wire up the halos with no luck, will give it a try again in a few days. Couldn't quite figure out how to wire them up to turn on and off with the parking lights.

I'm not sure how I feel about the change in headlights quite yet, but I'm real happy with the RacerX FMIC. Had to chase down one minor boost leak but that was fairly easy to find/fix. Just the base map update from Infamous1 is loaded and it feels pretty good already.

Ever wondered how low the filter sits with the AEM CAI? Now you know;)

Looks good! I actually like the look of your 'old' headlights a bit better. But that's just me. Grill looks excellent. I'm trying to paint my shifter surround at the moment and I'm not doing too well. There's no way I'm gonna try and paint my grill. :(

Thanks man! I think I agree with you about the headlights. I think these look a little cleaner and the others looked a little meaner if that makes sense.

Grills not that hard, just take your time and it'll come out well. Scuff up the chrome really well, clean it, prime it and paint it.

Looking good my fellow ABP'er

Thanks man!

Here's a couple more quick pics I took earlier:

http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/4324/img0567f.jpg

http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/1848/img0568w.jpg

http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/9641/img0570l.jpg

Have a few more small things laying around that I need to do/install:

-Rally Armor flaps

-Perrin crank pulley

-Rallitek 5EAT transmisson mount

-Progress RSB mounts

-Wire up Halos in headlights

Then I will be mostly "done" ;)

Looking good scooberz. What's your experience been with the AEM CAI.

Thanks man. I like it. Its the only true CAI offered for the LGT. No problems with water or anything, lets you hear turbo spool and the BPV a good bit better without being real loud or overbearing like alot of the SRIs are.

DUDE!!! Your leggy is sick with it! I actually had a problem I was looking for help with. I have the same billsteins as you and I have the swift springs ready to go. My problem is I want to buy camber plates for my set up. I have found the cusco ones so far but Im waiting to find out if they are adjustable because the site im trying to buy from has them listed as non adjustable ( the generic pic they have from cusco shows differently) My friend found me the part but its hard to find. Did you think of doing this when you put yours on? I really just want to have the option of camber in the future. Any options of adjustable top hats for out leggy or do i just need to buy the spec B mounts? thanks.

hmm sorry man, don't know a whole lot about camber plates. Maybe someone will have an answer for you in the Suspension/Brakes forum if you post a thread. Sorry I'm no help.

May as well post up my latest mod, installed a Cobb XLE BPV. OEM BPV could not handle the FMIC and would gobble like a turkey at times under boost. Have the Cobb XLE set at 50/50 for now and am happy with it. Adjusted the spring and now the gobble is gone. So I'm happy.
