newbaru90legrs
Hi All, I am in Augusta Maine with a blown head gasket on my '90 2.2. My mechanic is pretty busy with a new family. Is there anyplace to get it rebuilt or can anyone recommend where I can buy a rebuilt motor? Thanks!

LGT_Ltd_wagon
I had GTTuner replace my engine (brand new short block) he is amazing and stands behind his work. He has helped out and did some additional work when I had some problems the dealership was having trouble diagnosing he figured it out and fixed it (it had nothing to do with the work he did) Paul has been great and has done several jobs for both of my LGTs I would highly recommend him and it is worth the drive down to RI
GTTuner
AJW is actually closer to Maine. They seem like a stand up bunch of people. Call him, if he can't help you I'd be happy to.

__raj
Hey, were happy to help on this matter if you dont mind traveling. Great service and pricing here! This is a 1990 Subaru. I think the tow costs more than the car is worth running. To OP I hope you find someone local to replace the engine. Good luck.
08Legacy08
PM SHTBXR22. He's works at Subaru as a master tech. He built mine and my motor kicks ass!
CTSubiefan
No problem. In fact, are you hiring? I might be moving up that way in a few months. Though we'd hate to lose him as our "go to" local mechanic, you couldn't hire a more qualified, great stand up guy, period.
