The article says "The saloon - car of choice for a generation of McDonalds car park frequenters - will only be available in the US", not it's the only version available in the US. Despite what the TG article says UK and europe like Sport hatches, estates, and wagons which are 10x more popular over there than here, why else would BMW make a wagon version of the M5 for european release only? No, only american market considers being stuck with a hatch version as being 'screwed' which is why european and japanese companies are so reluctant to bring their best sport compact hatches to the US anymore because of our attitude: if it doesnt have a real trunk, it sucks! jj808 Posted April 4, 2007 Share Posted April 4, 2007 Personally, i would have loved to have a wagon vice a sedan but when i was shopping it wasn't to be had unless i wanted to wait 4 months or bring a car from over 3500 miles away.
