RJS5689
I just had a quick question about when to bed brakes. I've always done front and rear pads together, so I have always done a bedding process after the install. My rear pads are the only ones that I need to replace right now though. Should I still bed the brakes if I only replace rear pads?

AZP Installs
Rear pads aren't as important to bed in as the fronts are. It can't hurt to re-bed them in though. -mike http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg AIM: AZP Installs | E-mail: paisan@azpinstalls.com | 725 Fairfield Ave | Kenilworth, NJ 07033 "Race Tested, Enthusiast Approved!" Drogos
I will try to revive the old thread. I always bedded the pads right after the install. Just got a box of brand new EBC Yellows and it says to drive in urban traffic for 200 miles first, before the bed in procedure. Track day on Sunday...I don't even have time to drive in urban traffic even 1/4 of that distance.

Not sure about EBC but on Hawks and Stoptech pads we go out and bed them hard for about 10 minutes (60mph->5mph repeated stops) and then allow them to cool for about 30-60 min. -mike http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpghttp://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/141039922.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts.
