subikid90
Are you using the JDM heads and intake mani? If so you need to tap for EGR and wire for the JDM sensors. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap

subydrift
I put a JDM EJ25 in my old Outback when the t-belt broke and I used the factory USDM intake manifold off my old broken motor and just put it on the longblock of the JDM motor. Everything bolted right up and it already had the EGR port in the back of the driver head. I didn't have to mess with anything or rewire anything. It bolted right up and started right up. I did swap over all of the sensors from my old motor to the JDM longblock though.
subikid90
You mean shortblock lol. If you can use your USDM (old) heads and intake manifold. It will make it a direct swap, but requires you to tear down your old motor and new one and rebuild the new one. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap

Zues Marine
yeah, basically... you dont NEED to tap the block for the egr.. its not difficult to do, but the only ill effect will be too small to cause any concern, but you will throw a CEL PO400&PO106
subydrift
No i mean i used the jdm longblock. Not shortblock. The jdm motor i got had the egr port already. It came like that. I just swapped my intake manifold right over. No disassembly of the block/heads.
