So the transmission itself isn't interchangeable? Ah well. I have a 5mt from a WRX just sitting around. It has a lot of miles on it, but it was treated to Extra-S and it shifted smoothly when I took it out. It's out of the car because I swapped in a 6mt. I really need to do something with it.....
