Jose_A
I was looking to buy a performance muffler for my 98 Subaru Outback. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Im not trying to spend more than 300 on it. A few friends have suggested Magnaflow but im not sure as to which brand would sound the best. HKS? Magnaflow? Apexi ? Borla ? Any and all input is welcomed. Thanks.

Jose_A
hmmmm the top video is more or less the sound im looking for. Maybe more of a deep rumble. Considering I dont have aftermarket headers at the moment.
Zues Marine
one of the deepest subaru sounds i've heard (in person)..i suppose the older cell phone camera wasnt the best way to record sound you're better off going with 2.25" piping though unless you're running upgraded cams or other internals.. i'd throw in at least 1 18ish" resonator too, cuts waay down on the raspi-ness in high rpms.. i was debating between this and the borla for my goal of deepest sound but the borla sounded so.. 'hollow' and honda-esqe as soon as you hit 2k and up... the vibrant muffler and aftermarket headers (+50'x2" heat wrap) will run you under $300 + install if you dont DIY HKS, Apexi, AEM etc.. all sound much much better on a turbo'd car vs the n/a imo
