JohnyB22
So dont ask how but i came up with alil extra cash at the end of the year and saw this on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-WRX-STI-V8-2003-JDM-EJ20DET-EJ20-EJ20T-Engine_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33615QQihZ016QQitemZ260203922559QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVWso my question is to who ever knows it. is this sort of swap even possible...it comes with all the suspension needs, 6spd tranny, ecu, intercooler, wirring harness, brembo brakes , axles, front and rear diffs and cross members. so for 10G's is it worth it for a v8 STI engine? I own a 2006 legacy wagon 2.5i and ive been wanting a turbo for it but why not give it some STI balls if it works. ive seen them for less but this one looks the cleanest.... thanks for the help who ever can answer
Brad023
i don't see why it wouldn't still the EJ25 block the only issues i might see would be the sti 6 speed tranny in that case bolt your tranny or one out of a gt 5eat deffinatly a sleeper though. another thing is that the sti isn't a V8 it is the same all the others H4, the front brembo's will fit with the correct offset wheel I don't think the backs will fit if u really want to do the swap call locat junk yards and look for either a gt or and sti motor no need to swap out everything in the whole car cheaper anyways. i've seen a Gt motor for 3000 in mass local i've thought buying a motor and building it on a stand
phenryiv1
I think that he meant "version 8," not v8 engine.
