qiman
Does anyone have a walk-through on actually removing the OBDII connector so that I can insert some wires into the back of it? I'm installing a chip patch for the fuel computer and would be easier if I could pull it out a bit instead of having to work in the tight spot. I Donated broknindarkagain Posted January 13, 2012 I Donated Share Posted January 13, 2012 What in the world are you talking about? A "chip patch"? And I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but if you can't figure out how to unmount a wire connection, then you probably shouldn't be messing with the wiring harness quite yet. If you screw up, you will leave your car inoperable....and have an electrical nightmare on your hands. And as far as inserting wires into the back of it...why not just cut and splice into the wires a few inches behind it? -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." qiman
No need to splice into wires. What I'm looking for is the simple how-to on removing the connector from where it is mounted to. It is not always as easy as it seems. Notice I did NOT say anything about disconnecting wires.
