blongo804
Hey everyone! All I have is one quick question.. 17x8.25 +35 offset wheel fitmnet with 235/40 tires. I'm lowered about 1.5" all around - will I rub?
careercadaver
http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4426 It doesn't look like it...not from this thread at least. In order to get into the +30's you'd need to go 9.5". With a pull and roll...even with 9" you'd need to roll your fenders...tire size comes into play as well... Drift Motion
doubt it unless you want to run 245/255s and why do you need 9.5" wide wheels to go ET in the 30 range?!
blongo804
I kinda wanted to run 245's but if they'll rub and 235's won't, then sounds fine to me. Now to pull the trigger on these wheells... hmm...
charlie_sheen
if you have more than 2 inch tire gap i wouldnt say you will rub. maybe during hard corners under braking/accelerating. but not over bumps.
blongo804
My gap may be about two fingers but I consider my hands girly hands .. I'm 6'1" with not the manliest hands lol. Yes I admit!!
careercadaver
why do you need 9.5" wide wheels to go ET in the 30 range?! Just referencing the stickie I posted a link to. It shows fitment for a 9" wide wheel in the mid to high et40's and as low as et38 in a 9.5"...I know I've seen lower on some cars in the LOW Legacy thread though some fitment comes down to spoke design... Now to pull the trigger on these wheells... hmm... Roll the fender lips FLAT, you can run 245s, have enough suspension travel paired with coilovers, you can easily run 255s
blongo804
Edited my question to a new wheel/tire size to get some clarification. Wheels are being installed tomorrow with fingers crossed.
