Car Totaled....

Recommended Posts

Well I was just about done with my stage 2 infamous tune, car was running strong...and then some guy in a big ole work van turned left across traffic when he shouldn't have. Nailed him pretty good, impact was rough, but the car took all of the damage, I got out and walked away unharmed.

Insurance says it would take about 15k to repair and have declared it a total loss, which is good because even though I loved the car, I wouldn't want it back after this.

Wow! That is quite an accident!

How fast were you going? Were you declared at fault?

I was doing the speed limit of course!

Other guy was at fault, I had a green when I was 40 ft from the intersection, he was the guy who tries to beat oncoming traffic and turn left. We both lost!

I did have some cans on it, but they got pushed over to the side a bit, not sure if they were damaged. Aside from that just had some cobb sways and downpipe. I don't think I am going to be crawling under it to do any wrenching though.

What are you going to replace it with?

Sorry to hear about this. Notice there's no damage (or very little apparent) from ahead of the A-pillars back. Everything went down and back as it should have. Really glad you're okay.

Sorry to hear....

At least its not your fault, which is 2nd most important thing to being physically ok.

What color was that car ?

Dark grey, and yes aside from a little soreness, I was fine. Car took the hit great.

I did remove the extended arm rest (so brou if you want it I will give you first dibs), leather subaru shift knob with red stitching, spare tire sub enclosure, etc. I was going to remove the mufflers but with how low it was sitting in the lot it was too much troube getting at the bolts, I would have needed to jack it way up.

Wow, you were lucky to walk away from that! These are pretty tough rides. :)

You gonna build another?

Glad you're ok.
