nvrgnadi
2005 subaru legacy stage 2 - I currently have a K&N intake head on the car right now but I've been told that they are "oil based" or something similar to that (???) causing restricted air flow and are not exactly built to bring in a smooth flow of air sometimes causing problems for the MAF to take proper readings . . .just what I was told by my tuner? Is there a reputable brand or model that's recommended. I dont really want to replace the entire pipe, just the filter itself if possible. Any and all recommendations are welcome. evildriver
Generally from what I've read the OEM intake (perhaps with a new drop-in) is more than enough for your purposes. Correct me if I'm wrong gurus.
nvrgnadi
The original OEM intake is long gone and it'll be hell or highwater before I pay subaru that much money for a new one.
Nrw
Over oiling the filter kills the MAF. You could always just find a dry flow filter and swap out the K&N filter
