magnusonsubie
This thread should be a photo documentary and build list of my 2005 OBP 5MT LTD wagon. I bought it in February 2014 with 51k miles. Since I have owned it I have done the following and will update as I do more work. Here is a little backstory on my car for those interested. I am the third owner. The first owner was an old man who traded it in in July 2013 which was then sold to a lady for $21,000. In February 2014 she was so upside down in debt that she listed my wagon on Craigslist during the Super Bowl for $10,000 and which my dad picked it up Monday morning as he had access to my bank account. Gex
Looks good! What's it lowered on currently?
magnusonsubie
Currently the lowering of it is by the weight of all my stuff in the back and 3 bikes on the roof. It is still on stock suspension. magnusonsubie
Well when we were doing a reasonable 65 it was about 20mpg but in Utah where the speed limit is 80 and we were doing 85 we were getting about 17 mpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

boxkita
before you did that, I was going to suggest swapping cars. You can have mine and have yours which I would sell. :-) It seemed like a good idea after a couple of beers. Haha mine has half the miles yours has though and I like that I am starting with a blank canvas so I have a build to do my own. But I would like your intercooler and maybe some other go fast bits if you are willing to part out or maybe trade for some stock parts plus cash :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B
magnusonsubie
New clutch went in this past weekend. Competition clutch and lightweight flywheel along with tsk3 kit. magnusonsubie
Some pictures my friend took and edited back before I changed out the suspension. Hopefully soon I will be able to get some more pictures taken. Picking up a catless up pipe, downpipe and catback today. 05 Legacy by gunnar_magnuson, on Flickr Edited September 27, 2014 by magnusonsubie 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

magnusonsubie
Yeah I am not going to be able to get it tuned till mid October though so the uppipe and downpipe will have to wait a little while before getting installed. 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

magnusonsubie
Installed the Borla catback yesterday. Really pleased with the sound. It isn't obnoxiously loud and gives a nice little rumble and doesn't drone at all while cruising on the freeway. While installing did a few revs with the open downpipe. Video I posted to instagram in the link. http://instagram.com/p/ty3Myhjz4h/?modal=true 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

I wasn't paying attention when you drove away so I assume it wasn't that loud. I never have made it to Moab - not sure why when I saw your racks just assumed it was for road bikes... Have you gone to Tahoe for Northstar ( or Martis), or the other awesome trails in the area? My OBXT build
magnusonsubie
I haven't gotten video while driving yet. It isn't super loud but it is a nice sound. I will probably put my gopro on my rear bumper this weekend and post a video. I have not ridden northstar yet but I do plan to at some point. I usually go ride camp tamarancho or Pacifica. 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B
magnusonsubie
Installing Catless UP and DP this weekend. Sent payment and info to cryotuning so hopefully sometime next week I can take her out for a drive after the tune comes in and after I am out of class. The one nice thing about living on campus is I can do work on the weekends and then wait (forced) patiently to flash the cryotune on and then take it out for a bit. Will post pics of install this weekend. 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B
magnusonsubie
Installed the catless UP and DP today. Need to get a gasket for the downpipe to catback. Also painted SLi on the intercooler since I had some blue paint and was bored. UP install wasn't as bad as people seem to make it out to be. Getting the stock one out I just took off the passenger side headers and then used an engine hoist to lift the engine slightly. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/19/2b919221e8292bb2364e0ae9ae901d4a.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/19/7f3c7a0cc8805c64e5138886dd4c1fb7.jpg Edited October 20, 2014 by magnusonsubie 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B
