Yeah, I know that there has been a few threads on this, and the current one is up to 24 pages.

Lets do it as a poll, so we can make some sense of it.

Yes, it wastes a bunch of bandwidth, but it categorizes it better.

FWIW, I have used the "age" info with other (possibly potential LGT owners) folks as a positive "selling" point.

God...this must be like the 5th thread on the age of LGT drivers. But this "POLL" is a better option. An image is worth a thousand words...A graph is worth as much as an entire ...encyclopedia...

Rporter I'm amused by your cut off in age 51 + is the end of the line. Young people amaze me . How old is the person doing the poll?

I turned 55 last Sunday (5/15)

And, for the young "punk" who can't believe we can still drive....lets' go to to dragstrip, and my 36 years of dragstrip experience will smoke your ass!! ;-)

And, then we can go to a road course.....where I can smoke your ass again!!

This thread is being moved to the "Site Polls" section of the board, I meant to merge this poll with the one mbacis set up today on the same topic but it didn't work out as I expected. Apologies.

Dave.

Back in the former 24-page "Age" post, in the middle of it someone went through and compiled the data into a pert chart. IIRC, 27 was the most common age.

I bought my LGT as a 24th birthday present to myself. This is my first new car, and I don't think I'm going to stop being giddy about it anytime soon. :)

In the vein of the previous age poll, here's a brief chronology of cars I've owned:

Age 16: 1988 Nissan Stanza Wagon, $0. Given to me free by my aunt, if I could come and tow it home; instead, my dad dropped me off with a tool set and a Chilton's manual and told me to make it run if I wanted it. It took me 12 hours to go through about a million different things before I was finally able to limp it home (25 miles in 1st gear - the automatic wouldn't shift past that). After more wrenching at home, it served me well for four years and 80,000 miles before the tranny gave out. A hell of a first car experience, lemme tell you. I'm glad my dad forced me to do that. :)

Age 19: 1993 Escort station wagon, $1900. The first car I actually bought. 88hp of fury. The 5-speed gearbox was screaming for mercy. Three years, 120,000 miles (that's not a typo), zero breakdowns or problems.

Age 22: 2000 Nissan Sentra SE/PP, $9000. I wish I could afford to keep this now; sadly, it's for sale because I need the money to pay off my LGT.

Age 24: 2005 LGT 5MT, $22169. W00000000T!
