sconnierider
Thanks in advance for the help. I've got an 2005 LGT with an early build date of 6/04 on the sticker. Well, at 100K miles I need a new clutch. Doing my research on what to replace it with. I know enough to ditch the DMFW and go with a SM unit. Running stage 2 with no plans to go further. I like what I read on the ACT product. 1) Just want to know if I have a push or pull type clutch? 2) How does the above answer affect what my decision will be? HAMMER DOWN
Look at the clutch fork sticking out of the tranny. If made out of stamped steel plate, it's a "push" type. If it's forged steel casting, it's "pull" type. "push" type; What was in my 05 GT 5MT http://ts4.mm.bing.net/th?id=I.4974423294870679&pid=15.1 "pull" type; what is in my 05 WRX & 05 STi 6MT that in my 05 GT now. http://ts4.mm.bing.net/th?id=I.4553185817526683&pid=15.1 Mike Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
ssbtech
There was some controversy, but I believe that all the Legacy GTs had push types. My mid 04 build 2005 Outback XT has a push type and I just replaced it was a 2007 LGT clutch and flywheel. If the clutch slave cylinder is pushing to the back of the car, then it's a push type clutch.
