Picture does not do it justice. It has a very deep gold color little darker than I was expecting but I think I like it!

looks good, pics on the car?

Finished up the other 3 wheels today. They will be going on this coming weekend.I used the gold metalizer. They also have silver and now copper.I did not know about the copper till yesterday or I would have gone with that.I got all my dip from ebay cost like $60 for 4 cans of black and 2 cans of gold.It does take 1 whole can of black per wheel. You want 3-4 good coats on the wheels or if you try to peel it of it will not come off very well. The thicker it is on there the easier it will come off if you need to take it off.

Watched the video that JimmyJoeBob supplied and it looks like these guys have their s**t together on how to. BUT....watch the video closely and look around 7:53 and tell me that there isn't a rather large crack in the front rotor of the Audi? Is it just the light reflecting? I don't think so because it stays in the same place even though they are moving the camera.

  • 1 year later...

How did the paint look at first? I was doing blurple dipyourcar product today and extremely nervous of how bad it looks on the one rim so far it comes out the can looking like rubber......

Wishing I would of not taken this route and just sanded and primed the gold rims to paint the color I wanted anyway!
