Steering wheel shift buttons on 2.5i?

I recently bought a Momo steering wheel from an LGT that has the shift buttons for a 5EAT and I was hoping the buttons would work for the 4EAT in my 2.5i. The steering wheel gets here tomorrow so I haven't had a look at it or the wiring behind my current steering wheel. Is there a way to set the buttons up with my 4EAT?

 

Has anyone done anything like this? I tried searching but I couldn't find anything.

I think I might just have to take it apart and try to find the wiring, if it's there at all.

. if you can find the + and - thats used for the shifter manual shifting then you can tap off of that to the steering wheel shift + and -'s

I don't know if it would be worth it to go through all that trouble.

 

 

 

Edit: After further research in the "vacation pix" it looks like the connector for the shift buttons should be on the roll connector behind the steering wheel. I guess I'll find out when I install the steering wheel.

So for anyone that cares or was thinking about putting a GT steering wheel on their 2.5i, the steering wheels with shift buttons are direct plug and play into 2006 2.5i's. Most likely others years as well but I only confirmed on my car.

 

I installed mine today and it was an easy swap.
