If I had reasonable assurances that this car is coming to the US, undilluted, for 2008, I would hold off and save another year, and buy a cheap runabout instead of a Legacy GT sooner.

Black interior with red stitching, and charcoal console trim (CF would be teh win... I'll bet it will show up aftermarket) darkish blue paint. 18" BBSs, bilsteins, 6MT... HAWT. What is the name of that color? it is not as light as Newport/Atlantic blue, and it doesn't look as absolutely dark as Regal...

THIS should be the 07 USDM spec B, aside from maybe black 05-07 USDM headlights, tail lights. Even with the black, diamond gray, blue color choice.

A member in another thread mentions that the Tuned by STI car is a similar price, converted to dollars, as the spec b, perhaps even about a thousand dollars cheaper.

HAWT, HAWT, HAWT, HAWT, HAWT, HAWT, HAWT!!!

And I really like the chrome only STI badge on the back... hopefully that will be available via importers...

who knows some other circumstance may pop up or god forbid u may have to move to a city where owning a car will be a hassle...

so just go buy a legacy...brand new or used and drive it and enjoy it....u only live once...so fulfill some of ur desires that are within ur means while u can

I am currently not waiting because of the car. Until recently, I was waiting to pay off the cars I have, and pay for a new bedroom renovation for the wife, and pay down the student loans.

Now the miata is paid, the truck is nearly paid, and will be up for sale in a few days/week... and the bedroom is nearing completion. As Hannibal from the A-team would say, "the plan is coming together."

It isn't about wanting something perfect. Technically the 2005s are the best looking (black headlights, color choices) and have been going DOWNHILL since, aside from a feature upturn for the 07, but crap color choices, and more money than a used car... Wife likes less money spent. Imagine that.

But now, I can't find a good used Legacy GT, nor any new ones at the moment within 500 miles. There are a couple of nice ones more than 800-1000 miles away. If the availability situation doesn't improve, who knows...

But SOJ has a really great product on their hands. Better than SOA currently does. I would consider waiting for it, if I thought it were on it's way. I doubt that it is on it's way in a form as cool as the SOJ Tuned by STI car, anyway.

If the SOJ car were here as the Spec B this year, I would be all over that. As it is, not so much. Probably go back to a used or hold over. At this point almost anything with a stick shift and a turbo.

I like the above color. Can anybody tell if it's the left or middle one in the following page?

I saw a WRB Legacy on the street - it didn't look that good in real life.
