Billy Dagwood
...in the final stages of purchasing these. opinions? (this is a chop) they're weds TC105N 18x8 +42 ~16lbs coming on Kumho Ecsta SPT's - 225/40/18 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v220/billydagwood/otisTC105N.jpg
Devish
IMO it would be better with some more tyre...may be 225 45 18 or something like this
Spec B
Damn...16lbs!? They look hot..I would go with a meatier tire..235/40/18. BTW..the offset sounds a little low to me, I am running 18x8 with a +51 et.
Billy Dagwood
I might end up going with a little more tire down the road, but hey, that's how they're set up now. I have to admit that I'm just a *little* bit nervous that the overall wheel+tire diameter is barely larger than the stock set up, and that it's 18s vs 17s. On the other hand, getting bigger tires means throwing off my speedo more. We'll see.
bosco
225/40x18 work perfect, no issues. 45's will make it look like an Outback. bosco Stay Stock Stay Happy
GT_Airborne
+1 on the meatier tires. what is the suspension set up? already dropped? I like them, especially the weight, but I wouldnt pay an arm or leg for them.
Billy Dagwood
no drop: suspension is stock except for sways/endlinks. and don't worry, it's a pretty good deal.
Billy Dagwood
Do you think I'll be ok with that offset? it is a little low .. Keefe?
Xenonk
it's fine, the offset is a tad on the low side, you will need to roll your fenders, but it will fit, you just need to roll the fenders and possibly run something stiffer and shorter-stroke of a suspension to prevent rubbing. If you plan to run 245/35/18 in the future, you should definitely look into stiffer suspension. Keefe

Billy Dagwood
yeah, to be honest, I don't care so much that they're 18s. But I like the width and weight, and that they look decent. Now I just need to decide if I'm willing to roll my fenders for them.

Billy Dagwood
QUESTION: When these arrive, what pressures do you think I should be running in them? I'll ask the seller, but I would think a bit higher than stock pressures. Do you guys agree?
LowFast
38-40 psi, IMHO
Billy Dagwood
38-40 psi, IMHO I was thinking somewhere in that range too. FWIW, what are the stock spec-B pressures?

Billy Dagwood
sorry guys, they haven't arrived yet. fedex thought they would get here today, but now they're saying tomorrow also, i can't get them on until my new lugs show up, which won't be for a few days. But don't worry, i'm sure i won't be able to resist taking a few shots when the wheels arrive.

Billy Dagwood
think I'll need an alignment once I get these on? I hope not, because they won't get to stay on for too long - I won't be using them during the winter.
