bdcvg Posted August 25, 2016 Share Posted August 25, 2016 Seriously looking at an '05 GT ltd. Reading the info on this site for hours over the last few days. Are the '05s as scary as what I'm reading? Blown turbos, head gaskets, burned pistons/rings. My '05 Impreza has been very solid, are the GT's less reliable or am I just overthinking what I'm reading. If the one you are looking at has been taken care of and you get a compression and leakdown test prior to purchase, you could be okay. It's no Honda though. legacybt Posted August 25, 2016 Share Posted August 25, 2016 People rarely document when their cars are working normally - it doesn't make for interesting reading. I see tons of legacy gt's and other turbo subarus around every day, and they're still on the road with engines and turbos intact.
