Proto Tuning tool (AccessPort) holder

Recommended Posts

Well, I got this little gem from RallySportDirect and love it!

Here is the how to install and review for a 05-09 LegGT:

This is what you get in the box:

Simple instructions that give you the option for A/C vent clip or a more permanent mount that included #M tape and screws.

I opted for the clip mount.

Tried the center window vents but the holder is too heavy with the AccessPort in it.

Moved to the side vent and found good placement on the second vent fin bottom to top.

Took off the side cover and tucked the wire inside and pulled the panel where the mirror cover is and took out the cable through it.

And the final product:

In all, I love how it holds the AP and how easy it is to mount. I might try a smaller, thinner cable next. If you want to mount it any more solid, the solid mount is the way to go.

Thanks RallySportDirect for bringing this to us!

I always accidentally nudge the plug with my foot. The dongle is annoyingly long, makes it hard to use the dead pedal.

Or you can get an OBDII extension cable that has an angled connector and install nice and stealthy under the dash :D

@Leonardo - Nice writeup man! I definitely would've scooped one of these up if I still had my AP!
