55W HID kit

Recommended Posts

I don't think you'll need a 55W Kit in the 05.... With the Projectors a 35W Kit should be fine.

If that's not enough light go for some HIR Bulbs as High Beams:

Candle Power HIR Details

You can also just simply replace the standard H7 Low Beam Bulbs with OSRAM Night Breakers

I've got the HIRs as Highs with Philips H7 55W Bulbs, and it's more than enough light.... It's almost daylight with the highs on.... And the Night Breakers are a step up from my 55W H7s... So I'm willing to bet those would work better.

FYI - Typically you want Highs to be instant on/off, so I would avoid HIDs as High Beams as they take too long to warm up when you switch them on.

6000k was way too blue for my tastes.

I run a 6K 55W Kit in my 98..... And it's Super Bright White, not blue at all.

I'm sure a 35W Kit may be Blue hued, but as stated the 55W Kits seem to have a slight difference in color compared to 35W kits.

Grov, could you post a pic of your lows and highs on. I guess it'll be best for a shot from inside the car at night.

So DRL won't mess with light out warning

Not an issue.
