Whiteline suspension components VS. AVO?

Does anyone have a preference of Whiteline to AVO parts, or vice versa? If so, why?

I'm in the market for the following bushings:

-both sets of rear diff bushings

-LCA bushings

-Steering rack bushings

I'll probably end up getting some more bushings, but this is where I would like to start. My chassis has over 90k mi. on it, and the STG 2 power is really starting to overwhelm the stock components. I understand that I'm not going to get far without replacing sways, upgrading struts/springs, etc.. You've just got to start somewhere, you know? Thanks in advance!

We've used both AVO and Whiteline. They are both great products with very similar properties. The adjustability of the WL LCA bushings is a nice feature. WL is also great at replacing any product that may have a failure, their product support is pretty amazing.

You can't go wrong with either product. If you want some specific help shoot us an email and we will help you out and get you the right product for your needs.

You don't hear many people say this about AVO... ;)

BIG changes in how AVO products will be distributed in the USA coming next month.

And not a moment too soon.

All might be changing very soon. BIG changes in how AVO products will be distributed in the USA coming next month.

That would be nice, because it is nearly impossible to get their stuff in a timely fashion. Right now it always is "we will see when the container gets here".

My feeling on some avo stuff is they try to do too much. A company making turbo kits and suspension bits can't be "great" at both.

From much of the feedback I see, I think even 'competent' is a stretch at times.

MAJOR wholesale distributor has signed a distribution contract with AVO. 6 figure orders will be fulfilled and inventory held in the USA by the wholesaler. Meaning everyone will have access to AVO products wholesale now, inventory should be far better and customer support should be better.

But it means AVO is basically working just to supply the US wholesale distributor.

Thanks for the feedback guys... I was really fishing for personal preferences, so this was perfect. I wasn't able to buy anything quite yet as my daughter's 1st Bday and Xmas drained my accounts. Plus, I quickly realized that there was a fat chance of me getting parts quickly with the holidays and snow. Patience will have to suffice.. When I get a chance I'll send Mike a PM.

After driving on the snow and ice for the past few days, I started questioning how stiff is too stiff. I know all of the bushings and other aftermarket suspension parts add NVH, but I'm trying to conceptualize where I can afford to increase rigidity. I'm thinking I need to do the LCA's because they look about shot anyway, but are the steering rack bushings relatively mild as far as NVH goes?

I really need to make sure that my daughter will be able to sleep in my car.. Which is why I've avoided a cat-back and regretted upgrading to a LW SMFW. The performance is worth it, but the loss of comfort definitely doesn't go unnoticed.

We've installed quite a few sets of the WL LCA Bushings and SRBs on soccer mom's cars here in the NY/NJ area and none of them have complained, so take that for what it's worth.

^ Thanks! I'd imagine an alignment is required for the LCA's, what about the SRB's?

Also, the sway bushings are fairly cheap- should I throw some of these on as well? I'm running stock sway components right now, and after seeing the OEM bushing material I feel like it couldn't hurt.

I'll be doing all of this in my garage with my girlfriend angrily timing me, so I'd like to keep the install time relatively low (got the old "you're spending too much time working on your car" speech when installing UP/DP a few weeks back:lol:).

I wouldn't bother changing the bushings only. Swap the bars or don't bother.

Oh, and ditch this GF. Whatever you do don't marry her, it will only get worse.

After I posted I noticed that the whiteline sways come with bushings; it doesn't make sense to do it before.

My 1yr old makes this a much more complicated decision.. She's just mad that I'm on the forum more than she's on Facebook:lol:

 Nice

And yea, I'm in similar situation with that front sway, just put new end links on, and WISH I just had picked up the new sway/bushings and just did it while things were apart... I'll do it one of these days, and I'll do it all together of course. Also judging by the way I'm enjoying these WL bushings, and the service I got from them guys... I'll probably just stick with them as well on the sway bars
