novasteve Posted August 24, 2012 Share Posted August 24, 2012 Hello all, I am considering the purchase of an '08 or '09 LGT. I am a Subaru aficionado, I currently own a 99 LGT wagon and had an '86 GL 10 at one point. I have a couple questions about those years. Do the rear seats fold down in the sedan? This is crucial, I surf and snowboard and hate roof racks so this would be a deal-breaker. I would prefer a wagon but my desire for MT may override that. Is there much difference power wise between the B-spec and the regular GT? On paper it seems minimal, I know they have different transmissions, but other than that is it just aesthetics? Any know mechanical issues? I have replaced the head gasket twice on my current car and would like to know if there are any known issues to be expected with either of those models. ibr_adam09 Posted August 24, 2012 Share Posted August 24, 2012 no head gasket issues. the 07+ sedans do 60/40 split rear fold down Check records for OCI, make sure they were done <5000 miles. Turbo failure is known on the 05- 06, but the 07-09 are pretty reliable, Spec and GT has the same base horsepower.
