krzyss
Hello! 166K miles. I think the best description is that the car has hiccup. Above 3-4K rpm it pulls and then it stops and then it pulls again. I does not happen all the time but it seems to be most of the time. I suspected fuel first but the car was refueled, it seems better than before, but it still happens. What do you think is going on? krzyss
If I did not get tune in last 8 years I will probably be not getting one right now. Krzys
c-lo
228k. Occasionally I experience the same thing...more so on hills. I too will not be getting a tune as I've never had one nor see the need. 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos
Max Capacity
OP, I wonder if you have a leak at the hose from the tmic to the TB. Boost blows the loose and then when boost lowers it seals, build boost and blows past the inner boot on the hose. Story, the other week late at night, under high boost in higher gears the car felt like it didn't have as much power till I lifted and then got back on the throttle. WHen the tmic was removed it was noted that the inner boot in the 1 year TB hose stayed on the TB. I could hear air rushing while in higher gears under load...I wonder if that was the issue. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). krzyss
Hmm, I will look at intercooler piping. Should I look for obvious loose things or should I peek and poke? Krzys
Tehnation
the ic-tb hose has two shitty gaskets on the ends of them underneath the clamps, if they look disheveled or out of order you should definitely give it a look.
AZP Installs
Easiest and cheapest route would be to get a smoke test, that should reveal where your leak is at. -Mike Paisan AZP's First Private Track Event, June 19 at NJMP Thunderbolt $315 including Classroom and Mentor! http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts.
