2 autometer gauges in the ashtray area.

Since I had no use for the ashtray and the lighter plug, I've decided to put 2 Autometer gauges in. All the wirings are there (i.e switched 12v, ground, illumination, ground for the illumination...), so it was easy to do.

 

I can do a write up if anyone is interested.

That looks very nice! :)

 

For constructive criticism, I'd say to work on getting the cover to align with the surrounding trim - perhaps some fine Dremel-work to, say, a pair of offset rings (which would also then allow you to cant the gauges more towards you, in the driver's seat), would give you enough clearance for this touch-up?

I know it is difficult to look down, that's why I decided to install gauges that don't have quicker reaction time i.e. EGT or Boost.. Oil pres and water temp definitely don't move as quick as boost.

 

I'll put up a write-up.
