GEE-OTTO
Anyone running one ? (Yes, I know they're illegal here) Stuarts Draft is a lovely area in Augusta Co. that stretch of 81 is lethal esp near the Rockbridge Co. line. I dont know many folks that dare run them here, but VA finest typically shoot laser on 81 anyway so you're busted 5000 feet before you see them. Also finding a RD that cant be detected is tough and expensive.

GTPpilot
I just use the WAZE app now. In rural areas timely warnings might be an issue however. I guess network coverage might be an issue also...
stm25rs
Depending on how badly you want the detector, you could consider doing a hardwired install.

GTPpilot
They have detector detectors in the states also. In most cases the radar is not on continuous. Instant on. If you are lucky enough to pick up some signal from the guy down the road in front of you getting blasted, that's great. Most of the time though, if you are getting a signal it's because you have just been lit up. Laser is definitely instant on and your detector is only going to tell you it's too late. Signal is very focused and pretty short distance.
